Handyman
My name is Vincent Manno. I started as a commercial painter in 2017, and spent four years under a mentor who taught me everything from drywall to door frames. I've been running Tampa Handyman myself for over four years now, and every job goes through my hands.
How I Got Here
I started as a commercial painter in 2017. It was good work, but I kept finding myself drawn to the problem-solving side of things: figuring out why a door sticks, why grout cracks, why a caulk line looks good or doesn't. That curiosity is what led me to handyman work.
I met a skilled handyman who took me under his wing for four years. He didn't just teach me how to fix things. He showed me why the details matter: why you back-caulk a window, why you shim a door a certain way, why you don't rush the prep. That kind of apprenticeship is rare these days, and it's the foundation of how I work now.
After that mentorship, I went out on my own. I've handled everything from a single squeaky door to full deck rebuilds. Along the way, I've taken courses in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and masonry because I want to be the person who can say yes to your whole list, not just part of it.
I use professional-grade tools and materials I trust. Not because they're flashy, but because they let me do better work in less time. That saves you money, and the repair lasts longer. I've seen too many jobs where someone cut corners and the homeowner paid for it twice. That's not how I operate.
When I show up at your door, you're getting me. Not a rotating crew, not a subcontractor you've never met. If it's a bigger job that needs extra hands, I bring in trusted helpers I've worked with for years. But I still manage every job and make sure it's done right.
For me, this isn't just about fixing things. It's about being the person you can call when something breaks and not have to worry about it. Seeing the relief on a client's face when a problem they've been putting off is finally solved is the best part of what I do.
When I'm not working, you might find me hiking, cooking something new, or spending time with my family. I care about this community, and that's why I treat every job like it's at my own house.
Send me your list. Big or small, I'll handle it — and if I do right by you, I know you'll call me next time.
